I was looking back at some of my old blog posts a while ago now and thought that I’d share my first ever blog post with you all. I feel that it had a great message and because I was just starting out it didn’t get as much notice as it would today and I feel really strongly about the subject I wrote about in that blog post, so enjoy…
“Beauty isn’t about having a pretty face. It’s about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart and a pretty soul”
When someone calls you beautiful, they are complimenting everything about you, which in my eyes is unfortunately becoming very uncommon. Most guys nowadays label a women as “fit” or “hot” which only recognizes the women’s body, not her actual personality. Beauty is something you discover in a women. You can’t just look at her in the distance and think she’s beautiful because the beauty of her lies within. It’s like opening a present, the wrapping paper may be gorgeous but the real sentimental object is inside and you only realize that once you’ve delved in.
I know that a lot of girls, especially teenagers have body confidence issues and this is due to what is written in the media about all the latest celebrities. It’s not just in magazines, it’s on the news, it’s on the television, and it’s even in films and in books. No one thinks there’s a way of escaping the word “perfect”. But in actual fact there is, because there is no such word as perfect. The word perfect to me means absolutely nothing because if a guy likes you for who you actually are then he will call you beautiful. No other word needs to exists to be able to call a girl beautiful.
