REVIEW: Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Polaroid Camera

Looking to capture great memories during summer? Then the Fujifilm Mini Polaroid is for you.

When getting this camera I only thought I would use it for the summer. Capturing memories with friends and family is always a highlight of mine, so I thought this camera would be perfect. Plus the anticipation of waiting for the picture to develop is great. Now I’ve been using it for just over 2 weeks and I’ve fallen in love with it. I will be using it more often than I  originally thought.

It’s compact body and easy to use design makes it very low maintenance allowing amateur  camera users to have no problem working it. With 5 settings and a simple dial to get you between each one, a little twist of the lens and a push of a button gives amazing quality pictures every single time. It evens has an light sensor which shows you the best setting to have it on with the conditions you are in. (HINT: don’t always trust it, sometimes you have to make your own judgement.)

Once you’ve taken the picture, it will immediately come out the top of the camera. After that, gently take the polaroid and watch it develop. It takes a total of 10 minutes to see the full image, so be patient. DO NOT SHAKE IT, even though the songs tell you to.

Although the idea of this camera is amazing in my eyes. The price…not so much. The actual camera itself is around £60.00 and for that price the quality of the image is great. However you have to buy the film separately and for 20 shots its £15.00 on Amazon…WITHOUT DELIVERY! Yes it’s pricey, that’s why I am very selective when choosing the pictures I take. However, I do think the price of the film is the only downside to this camera.  With 5 colours to choose from (baby blue, baby pink, yellow, white or black) it can suit anybody’s style. It’s very lightweight so no effort to carry round, allowing memories to be easily captured.  This is definitely a purchase I do not regret.

xoxo
